Human Rights

Doing business the right way means we understand how our operations, our products and services, and even our business relationships could affect employees, our customers and people in the communities where we operate.

Best Buy is committed to respecting human rights. We seek to avoid adverse human rights impacts, conduct remediation if impacts do occur and drive continuous improvement of our human rights management. Further, we seek to advance human rights through our actions and operations.

Key Programs
Responsible Sourcing
We partner with our suppliers and vendors across all procurement channels to improve working conditions and environmental practices in the supply chain. As a member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), we are aligned with industry-leading practices and work collaboratively with other RBA members to address common supply chain challenges.
Forced Labor Not Acceptable
In alignment with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization Core Conventions, and the International Labor Organization Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, Best Buy is committed to respecting human rights as outlined in the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, including forced labor.
Human Rights Statement
We align our management of human rights with the United Nation’s Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, including the establishment of a human rights policy, implementation of a human rights impact assessment and application of due diligence measures designed to detect, prevent and mitigate adverse human rights impacts. We also maintain strong governance practices to ensure human rights management is applied consistently across the enterprise.
Conflict Minerals Policy
We are committed to working toward a conflict-free supply chain for our private label products. Our conflict minerals program is aligned with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, an internationally recognized framework. We work closely with our industry peers and manufacturing partners to implement the OECD Due Diligence throughout our private-label supply chain.
